I received my Master of Social Work degree in 1995 from Indiana University, and have been a practicing clinician since. During this time, I met the requirements to be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC). My clinical experiences have focused on working with individuals with substance use disorders, and other mental health issues, such as trauma, depression, and anxiety. I have practiced at Roudebush VAMC, Fairbanks Hospital, and Midtown Community Mental Health Center, all located in Indianapolis. I provided services in Lebanon from 2000-2008 through my private practice. During my time in Lebanon, I was the facilitator for the Boone County Superior Court 2 Alcohol and Drug Program, located at the Boone County Jail, and I also provided outpatient individual and group counseling.
I am most pleased to be offering services again in the Boone County area. Whether you are a former client or a new one, please remember that you do not have to walk the path to recovery alone. Call me and we’ll develop an individualized plan to help you accomplish your goals.

I received my bachelor of science in psychology from Duke University before returning to Indiana to attend medical school. I entered the Indiana University School of Medicine but vacillated during the first year between pediatrics and psychiatry. It was during this time that I discovered IU’s triple board program, which allows you to train in pediatrics, child and adolescent psychiatry, and general psychiatry. Now I could now have it all! I transferred to the triple board program and eventually completed residencies in all three areas. Since 2001, my practice has focused primarily on child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as general psychiatry covering all age groups. I enjoy working as a team with primary care physicians and the behavioral clinicians to help families and clients achieve their best.

I have been working within the helping profession for approximately nine years and began my career as a psychiatric technician on an inpatient unit. While serving in this capacity, I obtained my undergraduate degree in psychology from Indiana State University. After graduating, I moved to Indianapolis to work in the community mental health field. During this time, I managed a day treatment program for severely mentally ill adults. I loved working with and being an advocate for this population. In 2008, I graduated from Indiana University with a master’s degree in social work and returned to community mental health as a therapist, and eventually became a team leader focused on program development. The team leader role developed into a director position in which I managed the adult rehabilitation team and a group home. I am well versed in all sides of this profession, but my passion is one-on-one care. After taking some time off to expand my family and obtain my license for clinical social work (LCSW), I have returned to outpatient practice as a therapist. In addition to this role, I am a certified yoga instructor and hope to assist my clients in not only achieving their best mental health but their best physical and spiritual health as well.
